KidsFest is a non-profit organization committed to helping bridge the gap between the haves and the have-nots amongst Canada's children. Through education, we provide the building blocks necessary for elementary aged children to break the vicious cycle of generational poverty.
On behalf of the thousands of children we serve through our educational programs, KidsFest would like to thank the many participants and sponsors of our 2008 KidsFest Golf Classic. It was a great day on the course, and despite the cloudy weather, golfers were in great spirits. A special thank you goes out to the RCMP who coordinated yet another fantastic tournament in support of our children. We hope to see you there next year!

Hundreds of Children Compete in Canada’s Largest Kids-Only Run
Hundreds of children came together at York University on Saturday, June 7th to compete in the 2008 KidsFest 5K Run for Change, Canada’s largest kids-only run, proudly sponsored by Scotiabank. After training hard all year at afterschool Running & Reading Programs pioneered by Canadian Women’s Marathon Record Holder, Silvia Ruegger, participants from 9 clubs in Toronto and the Golden Horseshoe area gave their best performance while hundreds of coaches cheered them on to accomplish a goal that most had only dreamed of.
On behalf of the kids whom KidsFest serves, we would like to thank our Presenting Sponsor, TD Waterhouse, and our many other Corporate Sponsors, KidsFriends, and patrons, who made the 8th Annual KidsFest Signature Gala in Oakville at the Oakville Conference & Banquet Centre on April 18, 2008 such a great success. Because of your generosity, we will continue to pave the Pathway of Hope, which is leading Canada’s 1.2 million children who live in poverty into new possibilities.
